I am fully engaged in holiday spirit as my daughters are home...the tree is decorated...gifts are wrapped...we are healthy and life is good. I never got to a LOT that I usually complete this time of year...the majority of our holiday decorations are still in boxes in the basement but not having a festive mantle has done nothing to dampen my spirit.
I hope you can pause and celebrate each segment of your day. When you wake up, before getting out of bed, bring into your mind and heart the enormous love you feel for your children -- there's a gift. Then create a specific intention for how you want your day to unfold, "I am able to easily and joyfully get my tasks done and really enjoy each part of my day without rushing or feeling frustrated."
Try to keep yourself in the moment and gift yourself with releasing the idea of a perfect holiday. Instead, do what you can...even if it's hanging a few candy canes on the tree and calling it a day. It will be a festive, sweet day if you intend it to be so.
I send you my warmest Christmas greetings and wish you the peace and magic of the season!
Blessings,
Mimi
